Jason Harrison –
Growing up in a construction and farming family, Jason knew he had to explore the world before joining the family business. After university, Jason travelled through the UK and Ireland working as a musician and band manager. It was here that Jason discovered knack for team leadership, outreach and project management.
Jason returned to Canada in 2013, working as a Project Manager for mid-sized construction firms in Toronto. In 2015, Jason joined forces with his brother and father and formed Straw Hat Restoration. Today, Jason leads a start-to-finish construction team of 15 skilled tradesman and manages projects ranging from intimate home renovations to large scale commercial projects. Ever the gentleman, Jason brings a sense of tradition and classical style to his renovation and restoration projects.
James Harrison –
For James Harrison building, tinkering and remodeling is in the blood. Whether puttering around the shop with his grandfather or studying Construction Engineering at Fanshaw College, James was always planning his next project.
With a solid how-to understanding of construction and a willingness to swing a hammer, James leads project development and planning for Straw Hat Restoration. His past work in both residential and commercial construction allows James to develop accurate timelines and budget projections for projects of all sizes. James is a certified CTech with an interest in the growing field of urban-based sustainable building materials and practices.
